This site is intended to be informative about achieving success online. In the process , we hope the posts will be useful to help you determine what is crucial in your life for you  to be happy and what is necessary in your job if you wish to be successful.

To some , the information will seem so elementary that it will be looked at as not even worthy of mentioning . A book has been written about this topic and we encourage people to read it : The Entrepreneurial Instinct by Monica Mehta. It actually is the first book to address in a neuropsychiatric way, how important it is for one to understand their predisposing brain composition and how it has drawn them to think outside the box.

Essentially what the book will teach you is that the entrepreuneurial mind is different than others in terms of its function at the neurotransmitter level. Please do read the book and realize  that if you have an entrepreneurial spirit it is because you want life to run on your terms and not those of others who often have their own best interest in mind.

With small business and more specifically home-based businesses on the rise the idea of starting your own business magazine can be quite profitable in a number of ways. Not only can you feature your business as the sole promoter of the business magazine, you  can also sell ads for other businesses as your magazine circulation grows.

What better way to do online and offline marketing than to set up your own (edited by you) business magazine featuring your particular niche. This approach can be more effective than a newsletter as members tend to anticipate and look for the new edition of a business magazine far more than they do for a monthly newsletter.

In addition if you do offline magazine circulation as well, there is no telling how many hands your business magazine may get across with each circulation.

Make Sure You Have A Big “Why” When Starting A Business Online !

I you are considering starting a business online or offline,  you must have a HUGE WHY !  Particularly with an online business where you will have to have tremendous determination and an ability to not be dissuaded by those around you. The vast amount of offline marketers have not a clue what online business is about and you should not subject yourself to anything but positive reinforcement.

Starting a business online takes endurance as well , to withstand the ups and downs that inherently occur at the beginning. You cannot be discouraged. If you have decided it is your passion to get into online marketing you have to stick it out to reach your goal.

The learning curve is steep and you have to take in material very carefully or you will find yourself overwhelmed.  Often , you will hear that people starting a business online fail 97 percent of the time. Unfortunately there is some truth to that though I do find the online climate is changing as so-called gurus are sharing far more information with newbies than they had in the past. Personally, I think the number failing these days is much lower.

My interpretation of why more information is becoming available is that the top individuals have been seeing valuable information leaking out and now figure they want to be the first to open their box of secrets. This is good if you are starting a business online as you will reap the benefits of what was at once top secret information.

Too bad it had to come to this but just think of it as something very fortunate to be a part of as it used to take years and a lot of money to learn what is now being practically given away.

Throughout the ups and downs that I experienced there have been some individuals in the online business that were not selfish with good information, but I would say it was perhaps one out of ever ten that I came in contact with. The vast majority of gurus just wanted your money period.

I remember the worst feeling would be joining an MLM and then having no understanding of how to effectively market it. My upline , nowhere to be found and suddenly I am faced with bowing out before another autoship arrives on my doorstep.

Hope this information is helpful. You cannot be too careful when starting a business online.

Matter what size business you are a part of, brick and mortar or online , the key to success remains the same: you MUST have business team satisfaction. How do you do this? By making every effort to ensure that all the people on your sales team or marketing team are on board and achieving the goals they desire when they joined the business. That everyone is equally respected and helped to reach their personal dreams.

Getting a new colleague and then not nurturing his or her’s success is a recipe for disaster. People need to feel and be treated as equals and allowed to experience the dream of being a member of a successful business. Business team satisfaction in a conventional business is being attentive to the needs of your colleagues. Online business team satisfaction entails teaching everyone on your team how to be successful.

It should be no surprise to anyone that has been in the home-based business arena that success is a learning curve and those who have achieved it know exactly what to do to achieve it. Whether they share this information with the team is the difference between success or failure. Business team satisfaction is essential as many business models succeed only as much as the team is a success as a whole.

If you are a home-business owner taking in new colleagues, share EVERYTHING with them if you want to be successful and feel good about yourself. Keeping marketing secrets will hurt everyone in the end. To see the way this is done by so-called gurus is disturbing.

For some gurus their goal is to just get an individual on their list and then sell until they can’t sell anymore. Business team satisfaction is the furthest thing from their mind. This may sound harsh but I have seen it time and again and it is so important to warn newbies whenever possible. Don’t let the fact that you are not in a hierarchical office setup fool you. Businesses, home or away, unfortunately have people who are willing to compromise others for their gain.

To achieve business team satisfaction, make sure you learn well who you will be working with before you join any business.

There has been a lot of analysis done as to whether online video marketing can help your business, particularly brick and mortar businesses. The conclusion by many high-ranking companies is that it sure can and in a big way.

Online video marketing is powerful and when combined with blogging it is helping to increase the traffic to Fortune 500 websites.  Many people may not realize this but blogging in itself is among the number one strategies that the top Fortune 500 companies use to promote themselves online.

Backlinking and regular content-enriched posts push blogs to the top on Google and this has been the case for some time. With the innovative programmers creating countless automated blogging software you would think that this approach to marketing would be very successful. The fact is that NOTHING has proven more effective than unique blogging content that Google sees as value to its viewers.

Online video marketing is a nice adjunct to blogging and will certainly help your ranking. Once again, this does not mean using automated software to scrap videos but actually taking the time to find videos that truly will compliment the value of your blog.

PLEASE do not fall for all the automated software coming out. Is some of it useful? Certainly but it should be a tool , if you wish to use it , that comes into play after you have perfected your blogging skills.

Online video marketing and written posts are powerful forms of advertising and again I will stress that it is only with the appropriate time and effort that you will get the results you want.

There is no short cut to this advertising approach. The expression “work smarter not harder” is so true not in relation to the time you spend but the effort you put into quality content.

The Importance Of Transparency And Teamwork In The Workplace

In today’s business world, more than anything else , the success of a company is going to largely depend on it’s level of transparency and teamwork .  Recent years have given conventional businesses a lot to be concerned about as corruption within companies  has led to scrutiny by potential employees. Far less often do individuals blindly get themselves into employment opportunities which they come to dread as they are becoming far more aware of the need for transparency to protect their interests.

More than anything individuals entering or reentering the work force are looking for transparency in a business that also fosters employee teamwork . As alluded to in my past post , the days of cubicles and simply doing what you are told are being brought into question as potential hires have more information about the structure of businesses and where they can fail.

As much as the job market is down at this time , it is apparent that individuals are still being very careful about job selection and are far more knowledgeable about what to look for in a secure employment opportunity.

The big business downfalls we all have endured has given rise to the importance of transparency in a business like never before. The unthinkable events that went on in corporate America has spawned a generation of individuals that now turn the interviewee into the interviewer.

Transparency and teamwork by nature are  components of any home business as the one’s to be hurt by a lack of these qualities is the business owners themselves.

If you are looking into a business opportunity whether it be a home business or working for someone else be very careful to analyze whether your business is transparent and allows employees to work together.  Ask questions until you are satisfied with the answers you get and if you sense that the business is anything less than transparent in terms of it’s operation, do your homework until you have resolved this concern. As you interview watch how employees are treated and whether they are happy.

Many thought I didn’t know what I was doing and now look at how integrated Twitter is into our society. Now I have over 42K loyal followers and many of them were also bold enough to start Twitter when Twitter wasn’t cool.

Do what inspires you and if you need help with inspiration read magazines such as Entrepreneur Magazine to get the boost you need to keep going. It is very easy to feel defeated as an entrepreneur, but it is just those times when you need to dig down and stay true to your convictions if you are to reach your goal.

One Thing You Must Do When Starting A New Business!

One thing stands repeating as you take this journey to a new level with viral marketing. Never , ever listen to anyone who is anything but supportive of what your dreams and aspirations may be in life.  In the business of online marketing I have found this to be true online and offline. Think for yourself and realize you know far more than the general population about how to succeed in a particular business once you have spent the time learning your specific trade. As one example , I learned about Twitter when Twitter was known to no one and though I put up with a lot of comments I stayed the course and am now #23 on Twitter in the state of Massachusetts. DO NOT waste time trying to explain yourself. Follow your heart and you will succeed. Always remember that only 2 percent of online marketers succeed and it is sadly not so much a result of knowing what to do as it is being able to learn from others what to do. May sound a little cynical but please take this to heart. Learn early to be quiet and follow your dreams. No one is going to tell you how to do something better than themselves. If it were the case I truly believe the success rate online would be far greater , perhaps on the order of 25 to 30  percent. Always work smarter not harder and remain sharp at all times.
